Friday, November 15th at 6:30
Register beginning November 1st!
Learn how the world looked to a boy growing up in a time when kids were free to roam. Recall when radio held center stage and big-band sound dominated music and how World War II changed everything. Also, see what amazing things can be learned from the 1940 Census. You’ll be entertained, whether it’s a reminiscence or a new introduction. Brought to you by Dick Tomlinson and Carol Whitmer, CHS Board Members.
On Thursday, November 7th from 6:00pm – 7:30pm discover the life and work of Eugene O'Neill.
American Playwright and Nobel laureate in literature, O’Neill brought a darker side to the theatre; a more introspective view of the human soul. Creating such works as A Long Day’s Journey Into Night, Desire Under the Elms, Strange Interlude and more, O’Neill is highly recognizable and as interesting a man as the characters he created.
