From 5:00-6:00pm the Library team will:
--Read about some pesky bats at the baseball field!
--Hold a wiffle ball toss, a three legged race, and pin the ball on
-- Have a "ball" with some crafty baseball activities!
Library activities recommended for ages 3 and up! All Library activities are free with the admission to the game!

5:00pm is the warm-up Home Run Derby and Kid's Fun with the Torrington Library
The event will feature...
--"Abraham Lincoln" throwing out the first pitch and mingling with the crowd.
-- Tom Hooker Hanford singing "The Star-Spangled Banner" and entertaining the
crowd with music from the period.
-- Connecticut Civil War Round Table members, men & women dressed in 1800s style
clothing, mingling with the crowd.
The Vintage game is recommended for all ages. Adults are a $5.00 admission and kids under the age of 10 are free! The game will be played by 1860 rules and attire and is between the Simsbury Taverners and the Connecticut Picked Nine!
Hit a home run with your kids this summer and enjoy this one-of-a-kind summer event! Rain date is Sunday,August 10th.
