The library recently received a grant to preserve, scan, and display six historic documents. The documents include three letters written by John Brown, one letter written and signed by George Washington, one letter written and signed by General John Burgoyne, a Revolutionary War army discharge signed by George Washington, and more. This is a rare opportunity to see the original documents while we unveil the framing of the scanned documents, which will hang in the library. Learn more about these rare documents. Liberty Art and Framing owners, Marc and Laura Stolfi will talk a little about the preservation/framing process and library representatives will talk about the documents importance to the organization. Light refreshments and a hot chocolate bar will be part of the reception! The project was made possible by the Lucia Tuttle Fritz Fund, a fund of Northwest Connecticut Community Foundation.
