Midlife Women’s Health: Bones & Hormones With Tamara J. Vasquez, MSN, FNP-BC, APRN Menopause: What’s normal, what’s not? Myths, common symptoms, and treatment options. Osteoporosis: How to prevent it, who’s at risk, and testing and management. Plus, nutrition for women’s health. The presentation will be followed by a question and answer period. Presenter’s Bio: Tamara (Tamie) J. Vasquez is a family nurse practitioner. She earned her BSN from Central Connecticut State University, and her MSN from Frontier Nursing University.Tamie has over 20 years of nursing experience, and has focused on women’s health in the operating room and maternity departments. She is also certified as a national health care disaster professional (NHDP-BC), and has been deployed with FEMA to disaster sites. Additionally, Tamie spent 21 years in the U.S. Army and is a veteran of the Iraq war.
