The Not-So-Spooky Halloween Bash with feature:
 
  • Jack O’ Lantern Contest and Display– Are you a master pumpkin carver? Or do you just love to decorate pumpkins?! Enter our pumpkin carving contest. Deliver your carved, decorated, or painted pumpkin to us on Friday the 18th or Saturday the 19th and be entered to win a prize.  Pumpkins will be lit and on display throughout the first floor of the Library. Prizes will be awarded in three age groups– Adults (18+); Teens (11-17); and Kids (3-10). Pre-registration is requested and available on our website! 
  • Not-So-Spooky Haunted House– Join the Teen Advisory Board for a haunted house on the 2nd floor of the library. It will be a scream—but not in a scary way!
  • Ye’ Olde New England Tavern — We will be selling hot dogs, chips, kid-friendly beverages, coffee, and apple cider in our New England Tavern! There will be tables and chairs set-up for you to enjoy your frightful food.  Halloween Hot Dog Special- one dog, a bag of chips, & drink of choice for $5.00.  Add chili and cheese for $7.00!  Purchase some yummy baked goods, too!
  • Fun for the WHOLE family. All ages are welcome as we will keep it “not-so-spooky” for the little ones and the faint of heart.  Kids (and kids at heart) are encouraged to come in costume! Get into the Halloween spirit and help raise money for the library!

Pumpkin Carving Pre-Registration 

We encourage pre-registration for the pumpkin carving contest.
​You can register anytime between now and the date of the event. Thank you!

One submitted, you will hear back from a library team member. Please print the following submission form and attach to your pumpkin upon drop off!

Pumpkin Carving Contest Guidelines 

  • One pumpkin per person, please. 
  • Families may enter one pumpkin per family member.
  • Pumpkins may be carved, painted, or decorated.
  • Pumpkins may be dropped off at the Library on Friday, October 18th from 10-5 or Saturday, October 19th from 10-2. 
  • Pumpkins must be taken home directly after the event.
