Mad Scientists presented by the Smoking Gun Research Agency

Scientists such as Edison, Bell, and Einstein were responsible for some of the most renowned technologic advancements in history.  But there is a side to these historical figures that most people don’t know-from attempts to contact the dead, to experiments with time travel, to creating ‘death rays’ and other strange equipment.  In this new program, SGRA, will examine the ‘fringe’ research that these famous “mad scientists” were involved in. 

               

Get Healthy Today presented by Pam Sangster

Kick-off fall with a better diet.  Join Pam as she teaches families and kids how to eat healthier and live healthier lives through simple day-to-day diet changes. This program is perfect for all ages.

 

Science of the Supernatural Exhibit       

Presented by the SGRA               

Sat., Oct. 9th from 10:00-3:00

 

The “Science of the Supernatural” exhibit features a display of information, photographs, and documents on the history of Parapsychology from the 1800s to the present day, as well as graphics concerning stories dating back to images depicted in cave paintings of what appear to be unusual events being witnessed.  Visitors will have the opportunity to get hands-on experience with equipment used by the Field Team, participate in a scientific test of psychic ability, and engage in other activities.  This exhibit is not just for adults! For younger visitors the team has paranormal-themed activity sheets, including coloring pages, puzzles, and the like. For young adults SGRA have demonstrations of how a ghost photograph can be made accidentally (or on purpose by hoaxers), and also have some interactive activities.

 

Bump in the Night

Join the SGRA and learn how the team combines science and psychics to investigate reportedly haunted places.  If you like to de-bunk mysteries or are just interested in the paranormal, this is a must-see, spooky presentation on the afterlife.

Splatter Paint Outdoor Workshop

Get your creative juices flowing during this one-of-a-kind outdoor painting event.  If you’ve ever wondered what spattering paint onto a canvas looks like, here’s your chance to find out! Participants should wear old clothing and shoes that they won’t mind getting dirty.  Rain date: Tuesday, October 20th
