Join Miss Jill, Miss Jeni, and Miss Jessica as we prep the young'ens for the Vintage Baseball Game held at Fuessenich Park on Sunday, August 3rd at 5:00pm Presented by the Torrington Historical Society; Torrington Parks and Rec; and Torrington Municipal Historian, Ken Buckbee! From 5:00-6:00pm the Library team will: --Read about some pesky bats at the baseball field! --Hold a wiffle ball toss, a three legged race, and pin the ball on the field! -- Have a "ball" with some crafty baseball activities! Join Ginger, owner of In Sheep's Clothing, as she hosts a free Intro to Knitting Workshop on Thursday, April 24th from 6:00-8:00 at the library! Ginger will teach the basics and get you on your way. The library will provide supplies! Space is limited to 10 participants, so register quickly! Registration begins April 1st by calling the library at 860-489-6684. Adults and teens (ages 13+) are welcome to join us for a relaxing and fun craft night on Thursday, December 19th from 6:30-7:30. We will be making holiday/winter candle holders out of votive jars; snowflake ornaments; and wishing ornaments. There will also be cookies and hot chocolate to celebrate the season! Make your own Christmas cards with Leah Ward on Thursday, December 12th at 6:00pm. This is perfect for younger teens through adults. Leah will provide all supplies.
