Torrington Artist and Business Owner Artwork at the Torrington Library
In February 2024, Peter Pino’s portrait of Abraham Lincoln was donated to the Torrington Library by his son, Dr. Paolo Pino. The painting originally hung in Pino’s studio on Fowler Avenue in Torrington. The portrait now hangs in the Ronda and Harold Burns Program Room.
Dr. Pino also donated his father’s hand crafted replica of Charles Darwin’s exploration ship the H.M.S. Beagle, which took Peter over 450 hours to complete using eight different types of wood.
The replica can also be found in the Ronda and Harold Burns Program Room.
