Torrington Library's Teen Advisory Board

Next Meeting: Wednesday, January 21st from 6-7pm
Mandatory for ALL members to join with parents!

We have a wonderful Teen Advisory Board (TAB). 
Let us know the best day(s) for you to meet. Meeting dates will be based upon when the most number of interested members can meet. 

We need Teens who are lively, fun, creative and who love our Community!

TAB Members will:
  • Will meet once a month and meetings will last an hour;
  • Help promote Programs and our Summer Reading;
  • Earn community service hours thru meeting attendance and involvement in TAB initiatives;
  • Create Teen Displays; 
  • Help select NEW books for the Teen Section!
  • Be able to sign up first for all programs and Field Trips!

Pizza and soda will be served at each meeting!
TAB REQUIRMENTS 
TAB Members are required to reach 75 points in order to sign up for the summer field trip as a TAB Member. You get points by participating in Programs, TAB Meetings, and Fundraisers. 

Here are how the points are earned:

Must attend 1 program a quarter to
qualify as TAB teen! If you skip a quarter with no program attendance you will be automatically be a "public" teen.    

Programs = 3pts
TAB Meetings = 2 pts
Fundraisers = 5 pts
Mandatory Meetings = 8pts
