Quiet Study Rooms

Picture
The library has two quiet study rooms available to use for a variety of library and educational reasons.

Policy:

  • All visitors MUST sign in to use the study rooms. Sign in is available at the Main Desk.
  • The rooms are reserved on a first come-first serve basis and cannot be reserved in advance.
  • Study rooms are intended for patrons who require a quieter and more private setting for studying, working, or participating in school or work-related video calls. Staff will evaluate the appropriateness of your intended use of the room and reserve the right to deny access.
  • Study room access requires valid identification. Acceptable forms of ID include, but are not limited to, government issued, student, employer, Library card, etc. Other forms may be  deemed acceptable at the discretion of the staff.
  • Patrons are allowed a maximum of two hours of use per day for the study rooms. A single two-hour renewal may be granted by staff, contingent upon availability and justification.
  • Sleeping, eating, and any form of behavioral disruption, including those listed on our behavioral policy, are strictly prohibited. Violations will result in immediate removal from the area and may lead to a ban on future access to the study rooms, or the Library itself.
  • Personal items cannot be left in the study rooms if a person leaves for any reason, other than to use a restroom or locate an item in the library.
  • Policy subject to change based upon the operational needs of the library.
