Quiet Study Rooms
The library has two quiet study rooms available to use for a variety of library and educational reasons.

- Quiet Study Room Policy
- All visitors MUST sign in to use the study rooms. Sign in is available in the Children’s Room.
- Study Rooms CLOSE 15 minutes before the rest of the library. There are no exceptions.
- Cannot be used more than three times in one week by the same individual/group.
- Can be used for a maximum of 2 hours per session, up to three times a week.
- Study rooms hold a maximum of three people per room.
- Personal items cannot be left in the study rooms if a person leaves for any reason, other than to use a restroom or locate an item in the library.
- The rooms are reserved on a first come-first serve basis and cannot be reserved in advance.
- The rooms can be reserved up to one week in advance for test proctoring ONLY.
- There is no food allowed in the study rooms. Lidded, non-alcoholic beverages are permitted.
- Study rooms may not be used for napping or sleeping.
- The library reserves the right to close the study rooms for library functions or needs without prior notice.
- Cannot be used by tutors for private tutoring sessions. Tutors must use public space in the building that is also on a first come/first serve basis. Tutors cannot reserve tables in advance. The Board of Education provides a place for tutoring.
- The library reserves the right to deny usage of the Study Rooms if an individual cannot adhere to the policy.

Borrow a Library Laptop
Laptop Use in Quiet Study Room
The Library has two wireless laptops for use by the public. All laptops have wireless Internet, the Microsoft Suite, and are headphone compatible. You may use your own headphones or purchase headphones for $2.00.

- Anyone aged 16 and older may use the laptops in the Quiet Study Rooms.
- The laptop may not leave this area of the library.
- In order to borrow a laptop for in-house use, a valid identification card (Library card, student identification card, driver’s license, or state identification card) must be left with the library staff. The identification will be secured with the staff until the return of the laptop.
- The laptop may be used for two hours at a time. If no one is waiting to use a laptop, the laptop may be renewed for another two hours.
- The laptop will have a charged battery, but patrons are encouraged to use the electrical outlets available in the space.
- Use of the laptop may not be transferred to another patron without appropriate return of the equipment.
- You may use a USB to store saved work. You cannot save work to the laptop itself.
- Laptop users must adhere to the Library Internet Policy as attached.
- The laptop must be returned to the Librarian on duty. Once the librarian has confirmed that the laptop has been returned in satisfactory condition, the patron’s identification will be returned.
- The fee for a damaged laptop is $100.00. The fee must be paid or library use will be restricted until the fee is paid.
