This workshop is designed for those approaching 65 or new to Medicare. This is an educational presentation that will cover many aspects of this very complex subject. A few of the topics that will be covered are Medicare Part A, B & D, benefits, costs, and other health insurance. It will also show you how to get extra help with the Medicare Savings Plan if you qualify. The goal is to educate you on what Medicare is all about and to answer any questions that you may have. The presenter for this live workshop is Joseph Knudsen.

Fun for the WHOLE family & best for ages 1-10! We’ll keep it “not-so-spooky” for the little ones and make sure EVERYONE gets into the Halloween spirit while helping raise money for the library! All ages are encouraged to come in full costume!

The Bash features:

Trick-or-Treating: Stop at each location, take a cute picture, and receive a not-sweet-treat.
Temporary Halloween Tattoos: For all ages!
Halloween Photo Station: We’ll have a dedicated station where you can get a cute fall-themed family photo. Hand a staff member your phone, we’ll snap a free pick, and it’s yours to print and frame!
Monster Photo Station: Let your little monsters pose with our little monsters.
Haunted Snack Shack: We’ll have snacks to purchase throughout the evening, such as chips, sweet treats, juice, water, apple cider, and coffee. All snacks/drinks are $1.00 each and are pre-packaged.
A Haunted Carnival: Featuring a variety of spooky games to play!
Haunted Mini Golf in the Stacks: Golf through the stacks and get into the Halloween spirit!

Tickets on sale through Eventbrite or in person at the library. Entry is timed to avoid congestion. Please purchase tickets in advance. Walk-Up sales may not be available that night.

Charles Condomine has severe writer's block after he's asked to craft a new screenplay. Part of the reason he's struggling is because he hasn't been able to publish a word since the death of his first wife, Elvira, five years ago. After watching a show by the eccentric clairvoyant and medium Madame Arcati with his second wife, Ruth, Charles becomes convinced that the woman is a fraud. Yet, he invites her to his home to conduct a seance to help give him inspiration. When Madame Arcati accidentally summons Elvira's spirit from the next life, Charles enters into a strange and possibly deadly love triangle that breaks his writer's block and much more. 99 min/Romantic Comedy.

We will have tables and chairs set-up just like an old fashioned dinner theater! You can bring anything from a sandwich, to sushi, to a take-out meal from your favorite restaurant.

The AAA Retire program was established in 2003 as a non-affitiated member benefit exclusively for AAA Members. Subsequently it has been adopted as a benefit for community libraries, adult education facilities and Senior Centers. The program provides an overview of Social Security retirement benefits for single, married, widowed and divorced beneficiaries. The topics discussed provide attendees information on how to:

Increase your Social Security retirement income by up to 76%
Receive Social Security income from ex or deceased spouse's earnings
Replace Social Security income lost after spouse's death
Protect yourself from retirement's greatest threats
Understand the benefit eligibility for the biggest tax law and fiscal stimulus changes in decades, the Secure Act, CARES Act and the March 2021 American Rescue Plan.

Attendees receive valuable information on strategies to plan their retirement and navigate the Social Security system. In addition, resources on how to get maximum Social Security retirement benefits, coordinate Social Security with other assets or income to successfully and confidently transition into retirement.
