Whitmer of Come Home to ConnecticutTM will present an illustrated program exploring what monuments to the dead and the words on them reveal about a person, and the clues they provide for further research. McCain and Whitmer are professional historians and genealogists. McCain was on the staff of the Connecticut Historical Society for 25 years, and is a free-lance writer and researcher and the author of six books. Whitmer is past president of the Connecticut Society of Genealogists and is a Certified Genealogist. Paint Your Pet
Thursday, November 3rd at 6:00pm Registration begins October 1st Join watercolor artist Nancy Roman as she offers this creative workshop for adults, teens, and children over twelve. Participants must bring a 5"x7" photo of their pet, and Nancy will help you paint a watercolor portrait based on the photo. All skill levels welcome. Nancy provides all materials.
